Sydney Francis (Founder)

For many years Sydney assisted ministries including Revival Ministries International, CFAN, Copeland Ministries and many others in organising events, establishing a presence in the community and networking. Being gifted in events management and arranging big international crusades and conferences it has lead him in doing work in South Africa, Ghana, Malawi and India.

Sydney and his wife Joanne were called on 2007 to start their own ministry and birthed Lehae Christian Church in Johannesburg, South Africa, where they minister to and disciple many of the people in the local community. In 2008 they added a bible school to ministry to further enhance the call God has placed on their lives to equip the believers.

With a passion for the needy and the lost they have embarked on many community projects raising sponsorship to provide clothing, food and other necessities where ever possible.

Leslie Hessel

Leslie has been in the ministry since 2001 and was the associate Pastor in a church him and his wife Norma helped build to a membership of over 1500 people. Besides the ministry work Leslie was also actively involved in the business world where he ran his own Information Technology companies for 18 years.

In 2008 God called them to change their focus to fulltime ministry and less onto business. As a result they pioneered Shield Ministries, based in East London, South Africa. With a heart to see the Kingdom of God established on this earth and a fire burning in them to go after the lost, they have started various initiatives to equip the body of Christ to not only reap the end time harvest, but to fund it as well.

Working in many disadvantaged communities they have worked extensively in their home country, but have more recently started travelling and now minister all over the world.
